Introduction
Conceived in collaboration with a single architecture practice over two winters, The Ridge is a twelve-room property built into a south-facing slope above Val d'Isère at 2,340 metres. The brief was direct: use what is already here. The stone is local, the timber is aged, and every room faces the mountain without apology.
Guided ski routes, alpine touring, evenings at the chef's table, and mountain recovery rituals — every element of a stay at The Ridge is shaped by the altitude, the season, and the particular silence that comes with being this high up.
Experiences
The mountain shapes the day here. What you do with it, how long you stay out, when you come back — all of it follows from the terrain, the weather, and whoever you happen to be with.
Wellness
Recovery at The Ridge is built around cold and altitude. A sauna set into the lower floor, a plunge pool fed by mountain water, and a treatment room for bodywork at the end of a long day on the mountain. The programme is deliberate and unhurried, designed to restore the body rather than impress it.
